Reflective Essay

After being in a major motor vehicle accident in April of this year and surviving multiple injuries that have changed my life I decided to stay on track and finish up my classes that I had originally planned on taking before the wreck. I was very anxious about taking on too much after that wreck and my writing ability after being through so much this past year.  Throughout this class we had to write multiple essays and to say I struggle with this most is an understatement. My Argumentative Essay was all over the place and I lost focus a couple of times, but I am always open to suggestions to improve my writing. I felt that the rhetorical analysis was a struggle as well. I always have that problem with referring myself to the author even though I know we are not supposed to it just ends up happening. But I do have to say after having my essays corrected numerous times my analysis of my writing skills has improved dramatically in my eyes. I honestly never knew the difference between MLA and APA format until I took these classes and that could have been because I have been out of school for so long that I have forgotten. Still, I was easily corrected on properly citing. Now that I have a better understanding of different types of writing I look forward to improving my writing even more. Throughout my writing, the growth I have made is learning how to write an augmentative essay from high school level to college level in a short matter of time by doing lots of research and watching many different videos on how to be a successful writer. This growth that I have made has made me develop the skills to become successful in this class.
